Each year on a weekend in early September a new FLP class gathers for a three-day retreat to get acquainted, learn how to work as a team, solve problems collaboratively, and have a really good time.
From October to the following May class members commit one full day each month to a series of Leadership Education Days (LEDs). Topics are drawn from areas of community activity and concern such as Sustainable Communities, Health and Human Services, Diversity and Culture, and Economic Development. LEDs draw on top community leaders to expose class members directly to local issues and the people involved.
Graduation is in June. New graduates commit to a second year of contributing to the success of FLP.
